Melody Midoneck, MSW, LCSW, RPT-S is a psychotherapist specializing in children and families. She has a diverse clinical background that includes co-founding the Therapeutic Nursery Group Program at Jersey Shore Medical Center; experience in local school districts where she developed a thorough understanding of special education; and providing behavioral health consultation services to Head Start of Monmouth County. Ms. Midoneck earned a BA in psychology from Brooklyn College and an MSW from Fordham University. Her training entails both cognitive behavioral and play therapies. She works with children as young as three years and presents on a wide range of topics pertinent to children and families. She is currently an adjunct professor at Monmouth University School of Social Work. Ms. Midoneck participates in the Marlboro Township Alliance for the prevention of substance abuse. Her affiliations include the National Association for Social Workers, The National Association of Play Therapy, The New Jersey Association for School Social Workers, and the Tourette’s Syndrome Association.
Joanne Dunnigan, LCSW, RPT-S is a psychotherapist specializing in children and families. Her career began with earning a BSW from Kean College and a MSW from Rutgers University. She held several leadership positions at Catholic Charities and Meridian Health System until she established About Kids with Melody Midoneck in 2000. Achievements include co-founding the Therapeutic Nursery Program at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, presenting at local and national conferences on child related topics, appearing on CBS News Now 48 Hours regarding her work with 911 families and appearing on Caucus NJ with Steve Abudato as an expert on adolescent depression. Ms. Dunnigan has a certificate in Structural Family Therapy from the Minuchin Institute. She is an adjunct professor at Monmouth University teaching in the play therapy certificate program.
